Windows 10: Issue with Integrating Automatic Subtitles in Video Editing App on Windows

Hello,I am the founder of Subtify, an app that automatically generates subtitles for video and audio files and includes an editor to style and edit these subtitles. I'm encountering an issue while trying to integrate automatic subtitle generation into our Windows version of the app.The problem arises when attempting to use certain APIs for speech-to-text functionality. The application crashes or fails to generate subtitles correctly. I've ensured that all necessary libraries are installed and that the system meets the required specifications.Has anyone experienced similar issues, or can anyone

Editing Subtitle

1. In subtitle Edit: Options->Settings->Video Player. Browse for mpc-hc.exe then Select MPC-HC Player
2. Make sure the .srt file and .mp4 file are in the same folder, same names.
3. Video->Open video file... then browse for a .mp4 file

NOTE: I use VLC Player with this program and it works. Should also work with MPC-HC but if it's not then try VLC.

• What app are you using to use when playing videos?
• What file type are the videos that you usually play?
• Any troubleshooting steps you have done so far?

There are a few options for an alternative solution to your problem that have already been posted by members in this thread.

• Use the "Movies & TV" app
• Install K-Lite Codec Tweak Tool: Codec Tweak Tool > Media Foundation > disable for .mp4. Watch the videos in Windows Media Player
• Install VLC which automatically detects SRT files with the same name as the video file
