  1. Issue with Inventor 2024 referring to template files as OLE2 compound document storage

Looking for some help...I use Inventor 2024 for design work. In this latest version, the file types for several different types of file are all showing as OLE2 compound document storage. When I go to these file using windows explorer they have the correct file type shown. I have not run into this in previous versions 2019-2023.I have tried to seek assistance thru Autodesk forums but doesn't look like anyone has experience this issue or knows how to resolve it.

    :)

  2. Changing the Word Document Template in Office Windows Suite 2021

Hello! My name is Mostafa, and I’m an independent advisor and a long-time Microsoft user.

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Open the template that you want to set as the default.

    2. Click on the "File" tab in the ribbon and select "Save As".

    3. In the "Save As" dialog box, select "Word Template" from the "Save as type" dropdown list. Then, type in a name for your template in the "File name" field and click on the "Save" button.

    4. Close the template document and open a new document.

    5. Click on the "File" tab in the ribbon and select "Options".

    6. In the "Word Options" dialog box, select "Advanced" from the left-hand menu and then scroll down to the "General" section.

    7. Click on the "File Locations" button, and then select "User templates" from the list. Click on the "Modify" button, and then navigate to the folder where you saved your template.

    8. Select your template from the folder and then click on the "OK" button. Your template will now be set as the default template, and it will open automatically every time you create a new document in Word.

I hope the above steps helped you. In case of additional questions, reach out back to me, and I will be happy to help and try my best to resolve your issue. Thank you.

    Best,

    Mostafa
