Windows 10: Issue with July 2024 Windows update on Dell XPS

Due to some serious issues with my Dell XPS laptop computer after the July 2024 update for my Windows 11 Pro Ver 23H2, I uninstalled the updates but that did not fix my issue. Now I don't see an option to try to reinstall the updates. My "desktop" is not the one I had background picture is one of Microsoft's standard backgrounds and all my files are gone but thankfully can be found on OneDrive. It appears as though the update resulted in a complete reset. I don't know how to proceed?

Dell XPS 13 9333 - Windows couldnt not complete the installation, to install windows on this computer, please restart the installation

According to Dell's official Windows 10 Creators Update page, the Dell xps 13 9333 is not listed as tested:

You can try a manual upgraded as suggested in my previous reply using the ISO in addition to the 12 steps before upgrading.

 

Windows XP update and internet Issue

Microsoft has been shutting down some of their XP update server to prepare for the end of life of XP. That means that if your ISPs DNS servers are slow at updating then you will be trying to use servers that no longer exist.

I suggest you download the latest XP roll-up disc, it will have most of the updates you need and I also suggest hard coding a Google DNS as your primary DNS in your router.
