Windows 10: Issue with laptop fan after updating to Windows 11.

Hiii,So I upgraded to Windows 11 when it was first released last year one main issue I was experiencing was the fan noise every time even when the PC was idle so I thought maybe the Windows isn't optimized yet, so I reverted back to windows 10. But now after the 22H2 release, I updated again after the 22H2 update and I am still experiencing the same issue. Please help.

In my opinion you should not bother about fan noise

system manages its speed automatically and windows 11 is more optimised for 11 th gen Intel cpus

But if you still want fan control then download speed fan from here

it will help you to monitor and control fan of your laptop

Note that, depending on your laptop, any direct control of the fan may not be possible. I suggested the one above as it seems aimed at laptops in particular- but I've not tried it.

E.g. Speedfan lists no fan on my Thinkpad.

Ok, I've now tried NoteBook FanControl for you.
It has preset configurations for different machines: e.g.




which for my t440s gives




- whereas Speedfan didn't seem to achieve anything, I'm afraid. Presumably you looked at the config editor...

 

Widows 11 Fan Noise/Always on

Hi so i got a brand new laptop, Asus RoG Zephyrus, i upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11. Really bad decision!!!!!! The fans constantly running even if the laptop is idle, ( never had this isue with windows 10). Will there be a fix update on this windows 11 fan control?
