    Issue with my PC's sound since Feb


    Hey,since about mid february this year, i have been having issues with my sound. I was out for a few days got home and my sound wasnt working, and hasnt since, i never touched any settings, and to this day i cant figure out what on earth it causing this, i have tried absolutely everything imaginable, uninstalling my sound drivers, updating them, tried new headsets and mics, absolutely nothing has worked its to the point where im convinced its a hardware issue, which i really hope it is not because thats a whole other story really, its incredibly frustrating as i was playing PUBG at quite a hig

    Good surround sound headset

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Issue with my PC's sound since Feb :p

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps:

    Step 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
    and check.

    Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
    checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

    • Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
      Troubleshooting
      and select it.
    • Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
      Troubleshooting window.
    • Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
    • Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
      Troubleshooter.

    Step 2: I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the below Microsoft article and check if it helps.

    Fix sound problems

    • When you say “lost audio when installing”, what were you installing on the PC?

    • What happens when you play any audio file or a video file?

    • What is the make and model of the PC?
