  1. Issue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10.

Hello. First, nice to meet you all! I am a computer novice with wisdom in computing without technical education in programming. I guess this is the best way to put it. I resist social media for the most part unless necessary. I do not like cloud services and believe in client-side data saving versus server-side data saving online.

Okay, my issue to the reason why I am here. I have an issue. I have upgraded from Windows 7 Pro x64 to Windows 10 Pro x64 using Windows Media Creation Tool SAC Version1903 and then upgraded to Version 1909 all over a month ago on the same Lenovo T510. After the upgrade, I added a new addition retro-like programs like Open-Shell Menu to give Windows 10 a more Windows 7 comfortable appearance. Now, an issue after the upgrade is I have a new drive listed in "This PC" named "DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :) (Powered Off)" that I never had before the upgrade to Windows 10. I do have an optical drive listed as a separate drive as "DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :). If I right-click on the "DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :) (Powered Off)", I get a small superimposed window listing "1, 2, 3" vertically listed followed by a horizontal line and then under that stating,"Create shortcut". If I double click on the "DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :) (Powered Off)", I get a window pop-up stating, "RunDLL There was a problem stating starting C:\Program Files (x86)\LenovPowerMgr\PWMTR64V.dll". After the upgrade, I have uninstalled all the Lenovo drivers and software on the Lenovo T510 PC. In my program listing, there is no longer any listing for Lenovo Power Manager as I used Revo Uninstaller and did an "Advanced" or complete removal of all Lenovo drivers and software from this laptop PC, if that is what you are asking yourself? So I have no idea what this means and what is going on? I would like to get rid of and remove this drive under "This PC" called the "DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :) (Powered Off)". How do I do that? I need precise and detailed steps, please. I have added 3 PDF images to this posting for your help.

Please reply with answers and solutions to this issue. Thank you very much!

  2. Issue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :) (Powered Off) in W10.

Hello again. Thank you both for replying.

Yes, I have been to my Windows 10 Device Manager and I checked "DVD/CD-ROM drives" and nothing wrong there. All running fine. I even checked out "Disk drives" and again nothing wrong there either. I have even been to Windows 10 listing of "Apps & Features" and found nothing related to Lenovo. The only Lenovo website installed drivers and software I had left in Windows 10 after I upgraded from Windows 7 were a few "Intel" named drivers and software figuring they are necessary with the CPU, memory, and graphics, and wireless hardware. I figured those were necessary for the proper functioning of the PC. I guess I could have uninstalled them too like the Lenovo products, and let Microsoft Windows OS search find them to fill in on a reboot instead.

Oh, to answer one of your questions, I do see 2 drive F listings listing for my DVD RW Drive under "This PC". (1) The "normal correct" drive as "DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :) and (2) the other "error wrongly listed" drive as "DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :) (Powered Off)". I added a couple of more photos for your help I just discussed above.

Sorry about the image download links in my OP. Anyways, I have reposted those 3 pdf files as jpg photos in my first OP as I thought the link I click on to compose the OP was to add the actual photo to my OP. I did not realize it would be a downloadable link set in my OP. I see Brink's instructions on how to leave an image, and I see it is a different button to use to just that when you. Thanks! I see I also had to convert the pdf files to jpg files as Brink's instructions posting link to a message only allows for jpg image files and not pdf files. I added a couple more photos for your help I just discussed above too.

    Any more ideas? Thank you!

    @ dalchina:

    Hello! Nice to meet you!

Okay, to answer your question, "If so, try uninstalling it there, making sure you choose the option to delete the driver.", I did that and rebooted my Windows 10. I did that and it still shows the same issue as I explained my OP. So the issue seems to run deep. Not sure how to remove that second driver for F: named "DVD RW Drive (FIssue With New Drive Listing - DVD RW Drive (F:) (Powered Off) in W10. :) (Powered Off)"? Please reply woth other possible solutions. Thank you!
