Windows 10: Issue with NO "ProfileList" path in Registry for my Windows 10 Home - HP Envy Laptop

I was having issues yesterday trying to change my User account from "Thoma" to "Thomas Parks" as you can see in the screenshot Right. I was successful after I renamed the .bat file in ProfileList screenshot on left and deleted the original profile. I can now login to "Thomas Parks" as Admin since I'm the only one who uses this laptop. I've noticed a few things after I was able to log off and log back into the laptop from Windows Hello Screen/Welcome screen:


1. Removal of temporary user accounts:


a. How do I safely remove all the "TEMP.SEUCURITYITJP.00x", the "TEMP.DESKTOP-T7JFKES" old name of my computer before I renamed it "SecurityITJP", "TEMP" and "thomas.local.account" this account I created to login so I can change the initial user account folder in the Users folder on C: drive. "Thoma" to "Thomas Parks".


2. Drill down to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion so I can access the profiles in the missing "ProfileList" folder in my registry.


a. How do I fix the registry Left Screenshot so can proceed with removing these temporary profiles and only have the profile I login on a daily basis that being the "Thomas Parks" account.


3. An unforeseen issue was when I went to open Python IDLE 64-bit to start a Python assignment for my class, it didn't want to open and gave me an error when I attempt to reinstall because the system shows it in my old location on the D: drive which please see screen shot directly below:

HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
• Restart the computer and check.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.

 

HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

Thanks for the advise.

I have reinstalled the batteries ACPI in device manager about 5 times, but with no success.

Have also ran all updates, including bios updates from HP.

Finally did battery health check from Bios and using HP tool and both say the batter health is okay.

Is there anything else that can be done? I know another friend of mine who has had the same issue on his Sony vaio laptop after windows 10 upgrade.

Hope this can be resolved.
