Windows 10: Issue with NW-700 microphone

Hello! I am trying to fix the problem with my microphone, a NW-700. When I plug it in to my headphone jack, the laptop mutes without the volume changing for some reason. Windows is possibly thinking that the microphone are headphones being plugged in. In order to hear sounds, I am forced to connect bluetooth headphones and change the output device to my headphones. In the input devices, it shows my headphones and Realtek High Definition Audio. I do not see my microphone and have ran a troubleshoot for many times.

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error "The microphone did not pick anything up" when using it:

• Incorrect settings (microphone is not set as default device)
  
• Corrupted or outdated driver
  
• Faulty device
  

For us to isolate the issue, we'd like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows updates)?
  
• Have you tried connecting other microphone to your computer?
  
• Have you tried connecting the microphone to the other computer?

Having to unplug microphone to hear playback.

I have a Neewer NW-700 microphone. when I plug it in I can record, but have to unplug it to get playback. Is there something I can do to get playback without unplugging the microphone?
