Windows 10: Issue with PCIe Network Adapters After Windows 11 24H2 Update

After updating to Windows 11 24H2, I’ve been experiencing strange issues with PCIe network adapters. I’m unsure whether the problem is caused by the Windows update or the NIC drivers. I manage several test PCs, each using multiple network adapters, and I’ve noticed issues specifically with dual-port and quad-port PCIe NICs. After every reboot, some network ports disappear and are rediscovered as new NIC adapters. I’ve assigned each port unique names and static IPs, but once a port is re-identified as new hardware, all settings are lost. I then have to manually remove the previous instance and

To resolve this issue, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter when you switch from WiFi to Ethernet connection. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems including clearing the network cache to obtain a new
IP from the new network. Kindly follow the steps below:

• In the search box on the taskbar, type Identify and repair network problems, and then select
  Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
• Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.
