    Issue with renaming files under picures folder


    Hi there whilst trying to rename a "new folder" I would start typing and then a few letters into the name it will throw me off the new folder icon and take me back to the top of the page with the "new folder" un touched. Same issue in pictures folder on desktop hard drive.
    Any help would be gratefully received.

    External hard drive: Intenso 1TB.

    File History - Picures Folder

    Thanks for the quick response

    My windows version is 10.

    I except all windows updates as they are offered I don't know how to get to my latest update number but I believe it should be at the latest.

    I have not used File History for pictures before.

    I did have Windows 8.1 as a first installation when the PC was purchased and then later took the free upgrade to 10 when it was made available.

    When I select a new folder from File History I have tried two different routes

    Route one from the file list under This PC

    Route two from C:\windows\users\admin\pictures

    My Pictures folder has many other folders and has a total size of 16.3GB with 240 folders and 6,737 files.

    I have tried selecting one folder from Pictures for backup in case it was a size problem but it still fails.

    File History - Picures Folder

    To further isolate the issue, we suggest creating a test user account and replicate the backup just to verify if the current user account is corrupted or not. For steps on how to create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10, click
