Windows 10: Issue with sound after updating Windows

Hey, I'm having some issues with my sound after updating to Windows 11 24H2. I've updated my drivers and everything, but I'm still not getting any sound out of my laptop. I've tried restarting, disabling and re-enabling the audio device, and running the audio troubleshooter, but nothing seems to be working.I'm getting pretty frustrated at this point. Has anyone else had this issue after updating to 22H2? Any suggestions would be super helpful. Thanks

Step 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
and check.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
  
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
  Troubleshooter.

Step 2: I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the below Microsoft article and check if it helps.

Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the playing Audio troubleshooter

Method 2.

Try updating the Audio drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the audio drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers.

c. Right-click on the Sound card and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.

Windows 10 sound issue: sound volume randomly increases!

I would suggest you to go through the below steps:

Steps: Try to uninstall the driver:

a. Press Windows key+X.

b. Click on Device Manager.

c. From the list, expand the sound driver.

d. Right click on the sound driver and click on uninstall and do not check the box and click on ok.

e. Reboot the computer, it will automatically take the sound driver and then again go to sound driver using above steps and right click on it and select update to update the driver and again reboot the computer and check if it helps.
