Issue with Startup Repair and Password-less Sign-In

Recently, I activated password-less sign-in for my Microsoft account, which has been working seamlessly. However, when attempting to use Startup Repair, I was prompted to enter a password. Despite trying my previous passwords, I was unable to proceed, suggesting that the password-less sign-in feature may not be compatible with Startup Repair. Here are the specific details of my issue: 1. I initiated Startup Repair due to a system issue after having the latest windows update.2. Upon startup, the system requested a password, which should not be necessary given my password-less sign-in setup. 3.

    Hi,

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click on Accounts.
    • Click on Sign in options.
    • On the right side, you will see required sign in.
    • Change it to Never.

Let us know how it goes.
