Windows 10: Issue with Timezone in the laptop

I am trying to change the time zone in my laptop to EST as per business needs, however it keeps getting reverted to my local time which is IST.I followed both the procedures of clicking the time and selecting the additional clocks and changing the date and time from there, alternatively from the control panel as well. But neither of them stay, they revert to the IST after sometime, could you pls help me change the timezone so it stays?Edition Windows 10 Enterprise Version 22H2 Recent changes: The motherboard has been replaced and facing this issue since then

For us to properly isolate the issue with changing the timezone, we would like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
• What is the exact error message that you are getting?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

As an initial resolution, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• In the search box, type in cmd. You'll see Command Prompt listed.
  Right-click and select Run as Administrator.
• Type tzutil /l to see the list of all time zones.
• Once you have found your time zone, copy the description that is on the second line. Example:
  
  (UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada)
  
  Central Standard Time <---- copy
  
• Afterwards, type tzutil /s "paste the time zone here". Like this:
  
  tzutil /s "Central Standard Time" (make sure to include the quotations!); then, Enter.
  
• Exit the Command Prompt, and then go to your time settings.

Timezone issue

My PC has Windows 8. I use MS Outlook for my calendar and mail.

My phone is a HTC 8X and its OS is Windows Phone 8.

I use Companionlink to sync the calendar, tasks and contacts of Outlook with the phone



Here is my issue: in order to get this sync in place I opened a Microsoft account.

Somewhere in the process of installation Companionlink and that Microsoft account I forgot to adjust the timezone. I remember that the suggested timezone was EST. Unfortunately is accepted that zone. The timezone I live in is six hours ahead though. The
result is that appointments I type in on the phone are delayed six hours in the Outlook agenda. I



It seems I cannot find a page in any of the sites to adjust that timezone.

The Companionlink helpdesk has confirmed that in their setup the timezone is not an item, so it must be somewhere in de Microsoft or windows environment. Anyone out there who can help me out?

When entering date & time settings do you click the box where the actual timezone is listed. Hopefully a full list of timezones should appear when you click. You can then use your mouse wheel to scroll up and down in the list and select UTC+1.
