Windows 10: Issue with two external monitors need to reconnect HDMI to work

Hi, I am struggling with a weird issue while trying to work with two external monitors. My setup:1st monitor: ASUS TUF 34" 3440x1440@120Hz2nd monitor: AOC Curved 24" 1920x1080@120HzLaptop: Asus TUF F15 90NR0754-M00310Docking station: i-tec TB3TRIPLEDOCKPDFYI: I have the latest graphic drivers and OS. I've disabled the laptop display and wanted to just use the two external ones. When I choose to 'expand' them in windows display settings, the 1st monitor turns black BUT - if I reconnect the 2nd monitor, so that the 1st monitor is the only enabled for a while, then when I reconnect the HD

External Monitor Not Working Via HDMI Cable

Summary:

After updating from 1703 to 1809 we are experiencing an issue where the external monitor has stopped working.

The end user has an HP Elitebook x360 1030 G2 device connected to an external monitor via HDMI cable.

The external monitor was working fine before the update.

Troubleshooting steps we have tried:

Check the cables are plugged in properly - all good

Update Intel Graphics 620 driver - doesn't work

Update the device BIOS to latest version - doesn't work

Workaround:

User is able to use external monitor by doing the following:

- power on machine

- at bitlocker, press esc twice which goes to bit locker recovery

-power off the machine

-power on

-external monitor works

However, has anyone come across this issue previously with a permanent fix?

 

HDMI issues

I hope you can help with this problem which is now unbelievably frustrating

After working fine for ages, my HDMI connection has given up the ghost. I have my laptop connected to an external TV using two HDMI posts and the appropriate cable. Suddenly, it stopped working.

Since then, I have:

• changed the cable but found out that this was not the problem.
• Tried connecting to a separate TV monitor and, therefore, ruled out a TV problem.
• Updated the operating system to Windows 10 2004.
• Deleted Radeon Vega Graphics 3 and reinstalled.
• Tried a power reset, disconnecting TV and computer for five minutes, and then reconnecting the TV first, followed by the laptop second.

Every time I press the Windows key+P it does not recognise the presence of an external monitor.

However, when I pull the HDMI cable out of the laptop port, the external monitor recognises that it is no longer connected to HDMI.

I have looked for updated drivers for the graphics card and the programme tells me that I have the best ones installed. It also says that the device is working perfectly.

Would you care to suggest an option I might not have considered yet, please?

• Did you check if the external monitor work fine with other systems?

To check if there is any issues with HDMI cable or external monitor, I suggest you to try connecting it to any other Laptop/Computer and check if this works fine.
