Windows 10: Issue with "Type here to search" in windows start search engine

Hello,My search engine in the bottom left next to the windows start logo, is not letting me type anything. This problem also seems to be occurring for the search engine in my computers documents "Quick Access". I've tried troubleshooting the problem under administrator under Search and Indexing. It seems to be able to identify the problem, but it does not fix it? Any initial suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated!Sincerely, Stean Kury

To change the default search engine on Windows Edge.

Step One: Open Microsoft Edge

Step Two: type in the search engine into the browser address such as (www.google.com)

Step Three: Click on the three dots top right below the x (close button)

Step Four: Click on settings

Step Five: Scroll and click on Advance Settings

Step Six: Scroll to Search in the address bar with click within the box

Step Seven: Click on Add NEw

Step Eight: Your search engine should be listed Click on it

Final Step: select your choice of:

Add as default

Add

Restart Windows search service

- Press the Windows button and letter R

- Type Services.msc in the Run dialog box

- Scroll down from the list and locate Windows search

- Right-click on it and select Restart

- Restart the computer and check if Windows search is working

You can also check this article and perform the suggested troubleshooting steps. Do the troubleshooting steps one by one and check if it fixes the issue.
