    Issue with updating Windows.


    The update is 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4512501)


    It initiates fine, downloads fine even goes through install, but then goes back to initates. This has been going on for nearly 24 hours, restarted laptop same thing. Sometimes it says error due to device been switches off, other times it is 0x8024200d but it can go hours constantly on the same cycle of initating, downloading and installing before giving me an error.


    Could it have something to do with the Nvidia severity security that happened?

    Came here to suggest this.*Laugh :laugh:

    Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.

    It works, but I still need to fix it so that way I dont have to plug computers directly to the modem to get windows update to work. It was also blocking me from installing directx.

    If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

    I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.

    That's my 2 cents anyways. *Smile Issue with updating Windows. :)
