  1. Issue with USB audio


    I connect my laptop Lenovo Ideapad 510S via USB cable 0.75m to my sound system an integrated amplifier with digital to analogue converter - the Audiolab M-One which uses its own power source which is connected to speakers. I use either Foobar or Winyl to control playback. The operating system is Windows 10. Playback will initiate and will continue for approximately 30mins to 40mins without any issues. Audio will then cease through the sound system seemingly at a random point but playback will continue the song continues to play on the laptop there is just no sound through the sound sy

    After following all these steps, my usb audio device still does not work. In Settings > Connected devices it list USB Audio Codec Driver is unavailable.

    Please follow these steps and check if that helps.



    Method1: I suggest you to run an audio troubleshooter.

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons

    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel

    • Run the playing Audio troubleshooter.



    Method2: Uncheck the enhancement feature in sound options.

    • Press X from the key board and select control panel.
    • Select sounds under control panel.
    • Go to advance setting and uncheck the enhancement feature and check if that helps.

    We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

    • Type troubleshooting on the search box.
    • Click View all.
    • Select Recording Audio.
    • Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
