Windows 10: issue with USB root hub 3.0

Hello, Anyone know how to correct this issue.i keep getting a continuous notification saying device not recognised malfunctioned.nothing is actually connected to my laptop.Ive tried uninstalling everything in device manager under universal serial bus controllers restarting my laptop after uninstalling each one but the notification comes back soon as my laptop turns on.in hidden devices there was an error showing for a unknown device i tried uninstalling it but it keeps coming back which seems to be the issue.ive since disabled usb root hub 3.0 which is a temporary fix but soon as i turn it b

Incompatible USB hub driver is one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We recommend uninstalling the USB Root Hub driver and see if it helps. Follow the stepes below:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Double-click Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand.
  
• Right-click USB Root Hub, then click Properties.
  
• Go to the Driver tab.
  
• Click Uninstall.
  
• Restart your computer.
  

Note: Restarting your computer will automatically reinstall a generic driver for your computer. Also, we suggest connecting your USB hub while performing the steps.

If the issue still persists, let's disable the USB selective suspend settings thru Power Options to resolve the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Type Power Options in the search box, then press Enter.
• Locate USB settings > USB selective suspend settings.
• Select Disable.

my USB root Hub 3.0 & VIA XHCI Driver microsoft 1.0 isn't showing up on device manager, please help me?

I see. If the XHCI driver is not showing up in Device Manager even after enabling it in the BIOS, it's possible that the driver is not properly installed.

When you tried to reinstall the XHCI driver, did you download it from the manufacturer's website or did you use Windows Update to install it? If you used Windows Update, I would recommend trying to manually download and install the driver from the manufacturer's website instead.

Also, when you uninstalled the XHCI driver, did you also uninstall the USB root hubs? Uninstalling the USB root hubs can sometimes resolve issues with USB devices not working properly. To uninstall the USB root hubs, follow these steps:

Open Device Manager.

Expand the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section.

Right-click on the USB root hub you want to uninstall and select "Uninstall device."

Repeat this process for all USB root hubs listed.

Restart your computer.

After your computer restarts, Windows will automatically reinstall the USB root hubs.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a hardware problem with your USB controller. In this case, I would recommend seeking assistance from a manufacturer support.

• What device is connected to your computer?
• Is the device showing as USB Root Hub (USB3.0) in the Notification Area the same with the device that shows Unspecified USB Root Hub (USB3.0) in Devices and Printers?

While waiting for your response, we suggest that you disconnect that USB device, then restart the computer. Once the computer to fully boot up, wait for 5 seconds before you reconnect the USB device.
