    Issue with Wifi Wlan Autoconfig, Error 1068


    Issue started this morning when my laptop - out of nowhere - stopped detecting any wireless network whatsoever!Lan works fine That's how I am writing this post. First I tried the normal solutions: Update, enable/disable, uninstall/install network wireless adaptors.- No results. I tried Windows troubleshooter for wifi , it gave me an error saying The Windows wireless service is not running on this computer. As a result I went to Services and tried "starting" Wlan AutoConfig - It didn't start and gave me an error saying Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start I did some

    Unable to start WLAN AutoConfig (error 1068)

    I cannot connect with wireless adapter to Wifi with desktop running on Windows 10. I replaced wireless adapter but still not connecting. I access WLAN AutoConfig, attempt to start it and received error 1068.

    Please help me resolve this issue.

    Windows could not start WLAN AutoConfig Service on Local Commputer. Error :1068

    WLAN AutoConfig service is down on Windows 10. When manually restarted, it errors out stating

    "Errir 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start".

    Wifi is down , even though there are no errors or wranings in device manager.

    Laptop has only wifi connection .

    Disable WLAN AutoConfig WiFi auto recovery function.

    Win10Pro 20H2 19042.928

    I notices this behavior a few versions back and thought it was my WiFi card acting up but then noticed it on other Win10 computers. The service WLAN AutoConfig will monitor, disconnect and reconnect the WiFi network if the internet is unreachable. Convenient, but not when I'm configuring and testing scripts on my router. It there a way to disable this annoying behavior? Disabling WLAN AutoConfig will pretty much disable WiFi too.
