Issue with Win10 random reboots after attempting recent Update & Battle.net

Hello - I've read quite a few posts regarding the new: "2021-05 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems KB5003214" - I kept getting an error code when trying to install it, as of thursday this past week, forgot what the errorcode was. I was also getting random screen freezing, & reboots when running World of Warcraft, with Battle.net in the background. On occasion without having battle.net running I'd get a reboot. So I looked up a variety of 'fixes' to try & install the 2021-05, to no avail. Probably tried some 'fixes' I shouldn't have, however

    :)

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

Issue with Win10 random reboots after attempting recent Update & Battle.net

    Windows random reboot

    Hi jayewaah,

There are several reasons that computers do a random reboot such as overheating, third-party programs running on the background that is causing conflicts on the system or corrupted system files.

I'd like to know the following details so I can provide the appropriate troubleshooting steps to help resolve this concern:

    • What is the make and model of your device?
    • Were there any changes made prior to the issue?
    • What antivirus program are you using?
    • Was your device overheating the moment you play games?
    • In which instance does the reboot occurs besides when playing games?
    • Do you have a third-party antivirus program installed on your device?
    • Do you have any third-party programs installed recently?

For initial troubleshooting, kindly follow these steps:

    • Check if there are available updates for your device by clicking on the
Start button, then select Settings >
      Update & security
      > Windows Update > Check for updates.
    • Verify if there are drivers that are missing or needs update. follow the steps on
Update drivers in Windows 10 article.
    • Check if there are blockages inside your device's components that may lead to overheating. (cooling fan)
    • Perform a clean boot on your device to isolate the issue. This will determine if there are third-party
applications that is causing conflict on your system. This will also help you check if the performance will improve and if the reboot instances will stop.

    Update us with the results.
