To whom it may concern,I recently refurbished four identical laptops for a customer in a professional / industrial environment.The laptops in question are all the same model as follows:HP EliteBook Folio 9470mThey sit into older style docking stations that are used exclusively in a lab setting.The basic refurbishments I made included:Cleaning and Testing the laptop and components.Replacing / Upgrading RAM.Replacing the old hard drives with brand new hard drives with a faster RPM.Re-installing the Operating System Windows 10, which was on all four devices when I was tasked with refurbishing th

Replacing old hard drive, need way to copy Windows installation across

Hey Guys,
What would be the best way of copying/imaging the entire contents of an old system drive over to a replacement hard disk for the same machine? I need to copy the Windows installations and all other data to the new drive, and then format the old drive to use as a backup.

Activating windows on new hard drive

I replaced the hard drive in my laptop as it was about to crash. I realized after that I couldn't re-activate windows on the new hard drive because I didn't link my microsoft account to the old hard drive. I wanted to know is the only way to activate windows
now is to switch the hard drives again and link my account to the old hard drive then replace the hard drive again with the new one.

How do I activate Windows 10 after replacing my hard drive. I tried windows key and X as suggested and find "no administrative" space to fill in. I have my old windows xp disc with a number on it.
