    Issue with windows fax and scan windows 10 pro


    Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with Windows Fax and Scan on a Windows 10 Pro machine using a StarTech fax modem. It receives faxes fine but fails to send them. The same setup works perfectly on a dying older Windows 7 PC.What I’ve tried: 1. Updated Windows 10 and reinstalled the OS. Upgraded to Windows 11 pro with no luck.2. Reinstalled the Fax and Scan feature. 3. Allowed fax and scan apps through the firewall. 4. Used the same settings that works on Windows 7 PC. Hardware: Lenovo M920Q, SSD, 16 GB RAM along with Startech USB fax modem.If anyone has insights or solutions, I’d apprecia

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 Anniversary Update Issues

    Problems with W10 Anniv auto update:

    Mom's: (x58 Xeon 5677) Windows Defender was not turned back on automatically (it was "on" in the 1511 edition) and she had a Trojan. Full system scan to eradicate.
    Her Epson printer was knocked off, had to uninstall by Device Manager pull USB cable and reconnect cable. W10 did the rest.

    Step-mom's: (HP pre built) Windows Defender not turned back on by default. Her USB Seagate Expansion Drive 2Tb was offline so all backup routines were halted. Had to rerun backup plan. Had her do a full virus scan.

    Step-dad's: (Dell Optiplex tweaked upgrades) Windows Defender not turned back on by default. Full Scan.

    Windows 10 pro

    I need to change my motherboard, have windows 10 pro. When i google how to it says go to activation then add an account, my issue is there is no add an account option under activation? Or am I in the wrong window?

    Not sure how to proceed, ive googled it and the same results. Do I have an OEM or? On the disk sleave it says OEI DVD?
    The COA says windows 10 pro for OEM software
