Windows 10: Issues at startup

I'm running Windows 10 on my laptop and have a sporadic issue at startup. For a couple of seconds some small windows layer on top of each other on the desktop. At the same time an icon will flash on the taskbar. Then, after a couple of seconds the windows and icon vanish. So far I've taken the following steps:

1. I checked the start up folder and this icon isn't there

2. I ran various virus/malware scans and the computer is clean.

3. I tried various other scans (Dell, Microsoft) to find and fix the issue, but didn't come up with anything.


Do you have an idea of what may be causing the above symptoms at startup? If so, what should I do to eliminate it?

Can't get GPU-Z to start with Windows 8.1 startup

I'm not sure how to do that. Could you list the steps for a noob?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

I understand your concern and would suggest you to try performing "Startup Repair" and check if that helps. Here is the steps:

• Press and hold Shift key and click on Restart from login screen.
• Click on Troubleshoot.
• Select Advanced Options.
• Select Startup Repair and follow the on screen instructions.
