    Issues copying files in File Explorer


    Split from this thread. I use copy & paste frequently. Not text but files. I copy hundreds of files from hard drive to hard drive frequently. The process will run for a little while and then the speed will drop down to almost nothing. The process will start and stop at random until it finally completes. Sometimes it takes only a few minutes but then again sometimes it might take hours to complete the process. This issue is not new. It occurs in Windows 11 and it also happens in Windows10. I have experienced this issue for the past several months on multiple computers.

    You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
    You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one
