  1. Issues displaying contributing artists with a slash in their name

I am organizing my music library and came across a bit of an issue. One artist's name has a slash in it foo/bar but when I try to enter this into the "contributing artist" field it is interpreted as two separate artists foo; barI know that somewhere, somehow, there is a solution to this problem, because Windows automatically detects and overrides the slash syntax for AC/DC and no one else, it seems! The upsides to being famous I suppose. Is there a particular escape character to use or something I need to do to resolve this? I've been able to find nothing that actually addresses the issue,

    :)

  2. Windows Media Player Can Be Made To Display Contributing Artist For Each Song

To get WMP to display Contributing Artist for each song (instead of Album Artist), load the WMP application.

    • Select "Albums" in upper left of screen.
    • Left click on the Album that you would like to maintain. All fields will be highlighted.
    • Left click the Album Artist field for your selected album. The Album Artist field will be highlighted
    • Hit the delete key to clear Album Artist data.
    • Accept the update.
    • WMP will default the Contributing Artist from the first song in the album in the Album Artist field.
    • This is not correct for the album, but when the album is played, Contributing Artist for each song will display alternating with the Album Name and the Song Title.

  3. Song Titles, Artist, Album names in burned Playlist

I have an extensive music collection, but most listening is to playlists. I have tried to follow all hints, suggestions, and directions found (even purchased Uniconverter). Unfortunately, I have never been able to produce a Cd which will play on a car audio system and display song names, artist, etc. on the player screen. Can someone please outline a step by step procedure for either beginning with an existing playlist, or creating one, then continuing through all of the steps necessary to produce a playable Cd with track and artist info displayed.
