    Issues installing update to Windows 10, version 1809 x64 2019-11B


    Good Day


    I have an issue with installing the above Version of windows build. After it finishes to download the build, it fails to install the update.

    Troubleshoot steps taken

    1. Ran windows update troubleshoot which fixed:

    a. Repair Windows Update Database Corruption

    b. Windows Update Components

    c. Check for pending updates

    2. Stopped Windows Update services, and deleted the previous updates in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and restarted the PC.

    3. Ran SFC and DISM command to restore health command to service and prepare windows images.


    With all the above steps, still id did nothing when clicking 'Install now'


    I'm using Dell Latitude 5480 and it is joined to the domain.

    Dear Sir/madam,

    I will update my laptop up to date , but when it comes to the recent big update i have seen this in the update history.

    Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809 x64 2019-05OOB (2)

    Last failed install attempt on ‎21-‎05-‎2019 - 0x8024200d

    So how can I reinstall the above said update

    on 15.05.2019 I downloaded

    [table][tr][td]2019-05 Kumulatives Update für Windows 10 Version 1809 für x64-basierte Systeme (KB4494441)[/td][/tr][/table]

    When I try to integrate it into my Win10 x64 1809 WDS WIM with DISM I get an error the update's Unattend.xml wouldn't be compatible. If I try to add the CAB to the WIM with DISM I get an error Version mismatch! Weird, the Windows Server 2019 and Windows
    10 x64 1809 cumulative updates have the same size. Perhaps they're the same by mistake while publishing them???

    Updating clients running Windows 10 1809 x64 via WSUS or online is woking flawlessly!
