Windows 10: Issues on Start up with Window 11

I am currently having problems every time when I start up my laptop. First, on start up it will say 'Profile failed to sign in' or something. Then I tend to restart the laptop. And then it doesn't show the failed Profile notification anymore. However, When I typed my password in. It will show 'Preparing Windows' and load for 5 minutes not exaggerating.Then when it finally managed to log in. It does not have my profile set. and have absolutely nothing on the task bar, not even the Window logo. Then I will need to use Ctrl Alt Del and sign out from there, then restart my laptop.And finally a

Windows Start issue

Try this:

Right click on your start menu, and click on System:





When the system window comes up, click on Advanced System Settings:




There, click on Startup and Recovery:




Then in the top menu you will have a choice of OSs. Select the one you want to boot to defaultly and uncheck the box for "Time to display list of operating systems."




That should make it boot into Windows 10 without your intervention.

 

IE 11 not working

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Explorer.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter

Optical Drive Issue

Appreciate your detailed return. Your added steps really helped.

Assuming I did the steps correctly, this is where I am now.

Screenshot 12 shows my CD Disc shortcut on my desktop.
Screenshot 10 shows the CD Drive shortcut listed in the “Send to” listing.
Screenshot 11 shows the “Send to” listing after the steps were taken, but the CD drive name is not listed.

So, it appears the steps did not work for me. And, I did try the steps, “If it still won’t do ……” and still no luck.

What do you think?
