Windows 10: Issues while trying to login Error: 0x80048820

Hello, I've been having some difficulties while trying to login into my Microsoft account. You see in the settings bar I wanted to sync my account and after I inserted the verification it just says "Something went wrong, Please try again later" and it have been like this for the past week and I'm starting to go crazy. That's because I've also tried to login in my Minecraft account but it gave me the same error, same thing with in Edge where the same message appeared. Please help me solve this issue, Thank you.

Error Code 0x80048820 EVERY time I try to login or use microsoft store

So every time I try and update games on microsoft store it gives me the error code 0x80048820, it also gives me this error whenever I try and edit my details in the windows settings. I've been trying to switch my computers default microsoft account after my old one was compromised. What am I supposed to do if I cannot use my old microsoft account or use my new one due to this bug?????

 

one drive says not on line. Cannot sign in and when enter a code, get a 0x80048820 error.

For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

• Are you using Microsoft 365 Personal/Family or Business?
  
• What is the domain of the account used in OneDrive? Gmail.com, Hotmail.com or Outlook.com.
  
• Is the issue happened in OneDrive app or website?
  

I made further research about the error code you provided above. It seems like you are not the only user experienced the issue. I found a thread here in the community and the steps on it fixed the issue. I wanted you to check the response of Parash2 posted last November 7, 2013. Probably it could help to your case as well.

Windows 10 Login issues

I suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?
• Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
• What is the critical error you are getting?

If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking and check if the issue persists.

• 
  At the login screen click on the power symbol.
  
• 
  Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.
  
• 
  After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.
  
• 
  Select advanced options under
  Troubleshoot screen.
  
• 
  Click on Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
  Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.
  
• 
  If it logs in Create a new user account and link the Microsoft account and check if the issue persists.
