Windows 10: Issues while using Windows App Certification Kit

Hi,

Recently I need to do Windows App Certification Kit check with my desktop application.


But it can not finish with below error:



"Testing cannot continue unless an application is successfully installed, including a disckoverable shortcut and an entry in add/remove programs."

After I clicked "OK",this tool exited.

My desktop application installer can create a right shortcut while installing.

Some useful info:

1.After I choose my installer and begin to check, it could be installed successfully with install wizard.

2.However,After step1, it began to uninstall.After finishing uninstall with uninstall wizard, the error dialog displayed.

I think the reason of this error is that WACK tool wanted to launch my application by shortcut, but the shortcut is deleted after uninstallation.

I don't know how to fix it.

Could anyone give me some help ?

Environment:

A:Windows 10(1903)

B:WACK:Windows 10 SDK, version 1903 (10.0.18362.1)

Security certificate issue

Hi Doug,

To help you resolve your concern, please follow these steps:

• Open Microsoft Edge and access Nextdoor.com, click
  Continue to this website (not recommended). There should be a
  Certificate warning that will appear.
• Click the Certificate Error button to open the information window.
• Click View Certificates, and then click Install Certificate.
• On the warning message that appears, click Yes to install the certificate.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
