    Hello,Shortly after updating to 24H2 on Windows 11 Pro, I've had extremely detrimental issues where the only fix I can find is to force a reboot of my device. I am on a domain joined Dell XPS 15 9500. Hoping someone might have an idea on what I might be able to try to fix these issues1. After an hour or two from signing in, I will run into an issue where a UAC dialogue tries to pop up on my screen but never shows up. I am logged in as a standard user and have to elevate with my admin credentials. I tried waited minutes for it, and it never comes up on my screen. The only way I've been able to

    Lock screen and UAC prompt issue,

    Hey friends,

    I am Aryesh, and from when I got my new laptop, I have been facing this UAC Prompt delay for about 4 - 5 secs and Lock screen delay. When I press a key, the lock screen is just the image and then after some seconds, it appears. I think that my Graphics driver
    is corrupted. Randomly, my screen goes black and I have to press the combination Win + Ctrl + Shift + B to refresh the screen. I know, that these are many problems but, please help. I tried disabling lock screen, I ran System file checker and more. Please
    give an easy solution, And please don't tell me to do stuff with the registry or perform a clean boot or boot in safe mode.

    Lock Screen Image Issue

    Hi Kirby,

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.

    I would suggest you to set the default pictures as the Lock Screen picture from the PC and check if it works or not.

    Follow the steps below:

    • In start type "settings" and press enter.
    • Select Personalize
    • From the left click on "Lock screen"
    • Select the default picture and conform by preview.

    For us to isolate what is causing the UAC issue, we'd like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue?
    • Can you provide us a sample screenshot of the UAC prompt?
