Windows 10: Issues with Bitlocker not Keeping a drive unlocked and Microsoft store not working.

Hello, My device is the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503QR. I'm on the beta insider build 22593.1. I'm also running the experience package 1000.22593.1.0. The annoying watermark shows me "Windows 11 Home Evaluation Copy. Build 22593.ni_release.220402-1100". I just recently got my device back from RMA to fix keyboard lighting issues. I also had these issues the last time I got my device back from RMA. I'm afraid that if I completely reset my device by only removing apps and reinstalling Windows that I will have the keyboard lighting issues in ASUS Armoury Crate as I did last time. HELP: Automatic BitLocker Unlock.

Windows Auto unlock ONLY works in case you have Bitlocker on your system drive, because if your system drive is not encrypted auto unlocking other drives means loss of security.
But in my case my system drive is Encrypted with hardware encryption that i password unlock during boot. So auto unlocking Bitlocker drives will do fine for me.

 

BitLocker key cannot unlock the disk. Neither can i reinstall cause the drive is blocked

Unlock an eternal drive bitlocker

This is a Seagate external expansion hard drive (1 Terrabyte). I never had any issues with the drive until yesterday when I disconnected and reconnected it. At that point the Locked symbol showed up. I am told that I need to provide a password or recovery
key to unlock the bitlocker. I did not put the bitlocker into effect. Therefore I do not have a password or recovery key code to unlock it. This is a Microsoft software caused issue.

I spoke to a tech person from Seagate who told me this is an unsecured external drive with no encryption and that I needed to speak with Microsoft about unlocking the drive.

I did shut down the computer as you suggested and the drive still has a locked symbol.

I appreciate your help on this. If I cannot get the drive unlocked I will have to speak to a Microsoft tech person for $50 about a problem that Microsoft caused. Not good...

Do you have any other suggestions?
