Windows 10: Issues with Bluetooth on my Dell Windows 11 Computer

Over the past few weeks I've had several issues with the Bluetooth connection on my laptop. I have a pair of AirPods that I've used for years with no issue, and I'm in the process of swapping from them over to a pair of Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. Both pairs of earbuds work great on my iPhone 12 Pro and on my custom home PC, which is also running Windows 11, but on my Dell work laptop, both of them have different issues.My AirPods act like they are connecting, only for the connection to immediately drop. It sounds like there may be an issue with the display driver and the Bluetooth device association service on your Dell Inspiron running Windows 11. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issues:

Update display drivers: Visit the Dell support website and download and install the latest display driver for your specific model. If you have already installed the latest driver, try rolling back to an earlier version.

Uninstall display drivers: If updating the drivers doesn't work, try uninstalling the display driver from Device Manager, then restart the computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver, but you can try reinstalling it manually from the Dell website.

Reset the Settings app: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, locate the "Settings" app, and click on "Advanced Options". Then click on "Reset" to reset the Settings app. This will not delete any data or settings.

Troubleshoot Bluetooth: Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, and click on "Troubleshoot" to run the Bluetooth troubleshooter. Follow the prompts to identify and fix any issues.

Restart Bluetooth service: Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box, then type "services.msc" and hit Enter. Locate the "Bluetooth Support Service" in the list, right-click it and select "Restart".

Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

 

Issue with Bluetooth Speakers Connected but not listed in sound devices on Windows 11

When attempting to connect my Vizio Bluetooth speaker to my computer, the pairing process is successful. However, despite being paired, the audio continues to play through the computer's built-in speakers instead of the connected Bluetooth speakers. Notably, the Bluetooth speakers do not appear in the mixer settings, preventing me from redirecting the audio output.

Observations:

• In Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> Devices -> Audio, both Dell U2723QE and VIZIO SB3651 are listed.
  
• In Settings -> System -> Sound -> All Sound devices -> Output devices, only Dell U2723QE is listed.

Note: I have come across multiple reports online highlighting the same issue with Bluetooth speaker connectivity on Windows 11. Despite the prevalence of this problem, it appears that no tickets or decisive action has been taken by Microsoft to address this issue. Therefore, I am posting this problem again in the hope of receiving assistance and contributing to the resolution of this widespread concern.
