Windows 10: Issues with change in location in FILE EXPLORER..........

hi,

I am using windows 10 product. I have issues with my file explorer.........


THERE ARE 2 MAIN ISSUES:

1 the location of my documents folder is missing in users.



So here only a shortcut of documents present. original file is not moved or deleted. but still unavailable.


NOTE: THE SECOND MAJOR PROBLEM IS THAT MY DOCUMENTS IS THE SAME LOCATION OF MY DESKTOP

HOW DO I CHANGE IT?


I TRIED TO CHANGE THE LOCATION SEVERAL TIMES ......... BUT DONT KNOW THE REASON.

NOTE: I TRIED CHANGING TO DEFAULT LOCATION... STILL OF NO USE.


DONT THINK THAT BOTH THE IMAGES ARE SAME, THEY HAVE A MAJOR DIFFERENCE. ONE IS DESKTOP THE OTHER IS DOCUMENTS.

ITS MESSED UP PLEASE HELP ASAP.

File Explorer default veiw setting Win 10 Pro

Hi Bob,

You can change the default settings of your File Explorer view. If you would like to sort it by Date, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Go to Start, type File Explorer.
• Select View located at the top of the address bar.
• Locate Sort by.
• Select Date.
• Choose between Ascending and Descending.
• Close the File Explorer and check back if the changes applied.

"This file can't be previewed" problem in explorer

• Since when have you been experiencing this issue?
• Were there any changes on your PC before this happened like software or updates installed?

For initial troubleshooting, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Access this link
  
  C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
• Delete all the files.
• After deleting the files kindly try and see if there's a thumbnail preview of your files.

How to change location of MSI????.tmp file

Hi,

You may change the location of the .tmp file by following the steps provided below:

• Go to This PC.
• Right-click This PC, and then select Advanced System Setting.
• Click Environment Variables.
• Under system variable, double-click tmp and change the path for the file of your reference.
