Issues with connecting to my other PC on same network

I have a large file that I want to share to another machine. They are both connected on the same router both with Ethernet cables. On the PC I want to share from, I installed the SMB protocol which fixed the issue of not being able to see the devices at all in the network tab of file explorer. Still, even on the computer I am sharing the folders from; when I double click to see into the folder that is being shared, it gives me and error "Windows cannot access the folder \\PC_NAME\\FOLDER_NAME" (Error code: 0x80070035 Network path was not found). On the other computer I can see my main computer but I cannot even see what files are being shared, I get the same error.

The sharing options are all set on and password protection off, on both computers. I tried without using MS account but it is the exact same result. I tried sharing folders outside and inside root drive. I defaulted my firewall settings. I tried pinging between PC's works both ways, but I feel like the issue lies within the permissions on the computer with the file to share, since I cannot even access the folders through the network tab on itself.

    Advanced Sharing Options:

    Private (current profile)
    Turn on network discovery

Turn on automatic setup of network - connected devices

    File and printer sharing

Turn on file and printer sharing

    Guest or Public

    Turn on network discovery

Turn on file and printer sharing

    All networks

Turn on sharing so that anyone with the network access can read and write files in the Public folders

    Use 128-but encryption

    Password-protected sharing

    Off

    :)

  2. Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

    2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

    3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

    4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

I Hope you solve out your query soon.

    Network Connectivity Issue

    Hi,

The problem you've encountered with your network connection is most likely caused by an outdated network driver since this appeared after the recent update. We suggest updating the driver for your network adapter. Please follow the steps below:

    • Right-click Windows key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand the Network adapters category.
    • Right-click the one that says Ethernet Connection, then click
      Update Driver
      .
    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
    • If Windows is unable to find a new driver for your network adapter, try checking its manufacturer's website.

If the above steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver. Here's how:

    • Open Device Manager, right-click the name your network adapter, then select
      Uninstall.
    • Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

    Update us with the result.

    Regards.
