Windows 10: Issues with Everquest game with the Graphics

I am trying to get into a game i have been playing for about a month in which i played yesterday morning with no issues then last night tried to log in and im having issues getting into the game. I was getting a black screen after selecting the server to the game and my character select screen was black. I uninstalled the game Everquest is the game. When installed it back in im keep getting an error that when its in the Direct X install portion that Setup could not down load. Retry later or check network connection. I do not have any connection issues. and its funny it does get me into

This issue could occur if the your playing a game at a different resolution than the desktop resolution.

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps:

Step 1: I suggest you to check the resolution of the game as well as the resolution with in the computer and see if you are able to play the games in full screen.

You can install Windows 8/8.1 drivers in compatibility mode from Manufacturer's website, if there are no Windows 10 compatible drivers.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Download the updated driver from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right click the driver installation file and select Properties then tap or click the
  Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
  
• Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click
  OK.
• Try installing the driver and check.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the graphic driver and check if that helps.

• Click Start, type Device Manager, and press Enter.
• Find and double-click the Graphic driver.
• Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
• Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK to remove the driver.
• After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible. In a pinch you can use the

Visit the manufacture website and reinstall the latest driver and check if that works.

If the issue occurs with other games too then the issue might be occurring with an outdated\corrupt graphics card driver. If the issue is occurring with only this game then suggest you to contact the game developers for further help.
