Windows 10: Issues with Fn and media buttons

I have a Zenbook 14 Duo and I just recently started to have problems with my laptop keyboard. It acts like it is on Fn lock but it isn't turned on. Only keys that work while pressing Fn is volume, brightness and screenshot. I also cannot use the buttons that disable certain features on my laptop. The rest of the keyboard works fine, just none of the buttons above. My BIOS is up to date tried that, I don't know how to modify anything in BIOS if it is something like that. System is up to date. Please help, and thank you.

Fn key/media keys not working

Hi community,

Problem:

• I have a problem with my dell laptop's ( G5 5590) Fn key.
  

Description:

1. My Fn key does not work sometimes.
2. After a restart or a boot it works fine but after waking from sleep it doesn't.

Why I think it's a software issue:

• I went through the dell diagnosing tool ( something like bios) to see if the key went bad but it works there.

What I think the problem is:

1. Some service fails to boot .
2. some app is taking over the media keys control.

I hope someone can solve this.

Windows 10 FN Key issues.

Very disappointed that my model is not listed. After spending two days searching online for an answer to the Fn key problem, I really don't want to roll back to 8.1. I have plugged in a spare keyboard as a temporary solution. I will do some more research
as the Fn key is the only issue I have with Windows 10 so far. I called Toshiba today and their only suggestion was to call Microsoft and gave me their phone #....there is a 1.5 hour wait...

 

FN Button

On my school my computers have an fn button and I have been wondering what the fn button does but I have not gotten any clear awnsers. If somebody could just explain what this button is for that would be a great help.
