  1. Issues with folder layouts not sticking

This is for my office computer, and most of the folders I'm referring to are stored on a server and are shared with other users, for context.

I want all of my folders and subfolders to display with the most recently modified items at the top. Some folders will stay this way and there's no issue, however, some folders constantly switch back to oldest on top, and switching to newest on top seems to switch others back to oldest on top. It's so very frustrating and I have no idea why those certain folders seem to trigger opposing changes in each other, there's nothing special/different about them compared to the ones that stay put.

Even though all these files and folders are shared, I'm pretty sure this is happening locally, because the switch is instantaneous when others aren't even using those folders. The other issue is that I have the folders set to 'size all columns to fit', and this also gets undone constantly on these folders.

Any ideas? It's driving me nuts.

    Folder view issue

I want my folders (and subfolders) to stay in List view but they keep changing to Details view.

I have tried View>Options>Apply to Folders many times but it doesn't stick.

    Any suggestions?

Change Folder View Layout in Windows 10

"uhm that method does not work. i want to set folder view as List as default instead Details for all folders"
Did you download and run Brink's .bat file in Step 1 ? Lacking that, look at the screens in post 3. In Step 5 'folders of this type' defaults to each of the Windows templates for Pictures, Music, etc. If you want ALL folders to have the same List view, r-click any folder in each of the 5 folders under This PC (Desktop does not apply) and hit 'Customize this folder'. Set to 'Optimize this folder for General Items". Then follow the screen in post 3 using List instead of Details in Step 1 and you should be good to go.
