Windows 10: Issues with fonts/icons/buttons in Windows apps.

A couple of updates ago, I can’t recall which one, I noticed display problems with some default Windows apps. Icons and buttons won’t display properly. When I move my cursor over them, the background color will change, and sometimes the wrong icon/text will pop up. This has made Calculator unusable (see image below):




It crops up in other apps as well (see image of Calendar below):






I had a very similar problem with Office 365 a while back where the menu banners were not displaying properly. It was solved remotely by technical support, but I have no idea what they did.


How can I correct this? Thank you in advance.

Windows 10 Make icons/font bigger

Hi guys,

I have the Zoltac ZBOX-AD04 PLUS connected through HDMI with a 32"inch TV and i can't see the icons/font at my bed. I want the icons/font bigger.

I found these steps in this forum from back in 2010:

Step 1:

I would suggest you to try these steps and check whether it helps in fixing your issue.

Open font settings by clicking on start, click on control panel, and then click on appearance and personalization, under fonts click on change font settings. And select the font size.

Step 2:

If you’re trying to change windows font size then please follow the steps below:

To change Windows fonts

1. Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type window color, and then click Change window colors and
metrics.

2. In the Item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the font for. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list. Then, make any of the following changes:

· In the Font list, click the font that you want to use.

· In the Size list, click the font size that you want.

· In the Color list, click the font color that you want.

3. Repeat these steps for each item that you want to make changes to, and then click OK.

Font Size

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if you are able to change the font size.

• 
  open Kindle app
  
• 
  Hamburger icon on the top left
  
• 
  Then select settings
  
• 
  Click on options and check if you are able to find options for font settings
  

You can try this short cut by pressing Ctrl button with scrolling your mouse to zoom the screen size.
