    The issues

Quick access view looks wrong, without standard Frequent folders on top ofRecent files list. This can happen repeatedly many times a day, doesn't matter how many times you try to reset folders view.

Another similar issue is user home folder that won't keep its view settings as it should e.g. ordered by type, ascending.

    The solution

First of all close any other open folder and keep open just your broken Quick access folder or the home folder.

    Quick access

    1. Right click in the left column of file explorer over " Quick access" and selectOptions
    2. Choose View tab. Then click button Reset Folders
    3. Now click also Apply To Folders button, to save this as default view for this kind of folders and permanently fix it

    Home folder

    1. Customize your home folder view or, if you want to reset view, right click on folder name in the left column of file explorer and selectOptions, then choose View tab, and click button Reset Folders
    2. Now click Apply To Folders button to permanently save this kind of folder default view settings

That's it. This should once and for all permanently fix Quick access or home folder views and prevent them from ever changing to an incorrect view as before.

    :)

Quick Access folder view changes when sub folder views are changed

No, because the registry is where saved views are stored. There are no unintended side effects to this --- it deletes the saved views, nothing more.
I think the following way will be the easiest for you:
Press Winkey+X or right-click the Start button to access the Power User menu and select Windows PowerShell.
