Windows 10: Issues with launching modern Minecraft

I play on 1.8.9, mainly because it runs flawlessly. I have the newest version installed, but don't use it, because when I launch it, it takes much longer than older versions, and it makes my cpu skyrocket to 100% usage, so the cooling fan sounds like a jet engine, and it doesn't go down until about a minute after the game launched. So for comparison, 1.8.9 launches and I can load a world within less than 30 seconds and everything runs fine, but 1.19 takes about twice as long if not more and I still have to wait for my cpu to calm down because loading into a world will be very laggy.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

Windows 10 - Minecraft Download Issue
