Windows 10: Issues with opening various files like OBS or certain Steam games

I have had this issue twice now and they are entirely separate things, but the result is the same; whenever I initialize or open the file nothing happens, no popup, no task in the task bar, nothing, yet the application is definitely running as the task manager clearly shows that the apps are utilizing the computers GPU, CPU and memory yet I am unable to actually utilize or see the application on my PC. The steam game would always show running but never actually initialize so I thought it might just be that game as others work properly so i just figured maybe the devs need to update the game; O

After Updating to windows 10 steam application and games dont open

I would suggest you to install the game in compatibility mode and check if it works,

Compatibility mode

Follow the steps below on how to install game in compatibility mode:

1. Download the installation files from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the setup file install and then check the functionality.
