  2. NTSF.sys Error with recovery issues

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand you are getting Blue Scree NTFS.sys error.

This error may occur due to corruption in the NTFS file system or bad sectors on the hard disk. Also corrupted SCSI and IDE drivers can also adversely affect the system's ability to read and write to disk, thus causing the error.

Please try following methods and check if it helps
    Method 1:

Run System File Checker it Scans and verifies the versions of all protected system files after you restart your computer

    1. Open the Start Menu, click on All Programs and Accessories, right click on
Command Prompt, and click on Run as administrator

    2. Type SFC /SCANNOW and press Enter.

For more information on System File Checker please refer link below:

    http://www.microsoft.com/resources/...ddocs/en-us/system_file_checker.mspx?mfr=true

    Method 2 :

Run Check Disk from the Command Line to find and fix errors on the disk.

    1. Open the Start Menu, click on All Programs and Accessories, right click on
Command Prompt, and click on Run as administrator

    2. Type chkdsk /f drivename for ex. chkdsk /f C: and press Enter
Note : Check Disk can’t repair volumes that are in use. If the volume is in use, Check Disk displays a prompt that asks if you want to schedule the volume to be checked the next time you restart the system. Click Yes to schedule this

Hope this information helps. If you require further help please feel free to reply. We will be happy to help.

    Thank you.
