Windows 10: Issues with Start Menu after sleep

I am having an issue where the computer goes into sleep mode, when it comes up, I can't access things on my start menu. For example, I click the power button to restart, it shows the options, but doesn't highlight when you mouse over it. Another issue is that Outlook doesn't load messages. Is this a known issue or is there a fix that isn't resetting the pc?

Windows 10 Start menu issue

yeah I've been less than happy with the start menu also.
for me I for me I get freezes in start menu, especialy returning from sleep...which reminds me sleep is such a pain in the butt since I switch to Windows 10. Either waking up on its own, or system freezes when recovering from sleep

Stardock was a nice switch from vanilla, but i wasnt gonna buy it and 30 days goes by quick.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if that resolves the issue.

* Right-click on Start and Select Command Prompt (Admin)
from context Menu

* Type or Copy/Paste the below commands into it and hit Enter key

powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

• By executing this command, it will bring up all the device list that are configued to wake up your PC from sleep. Now it time to find the device which made you PC to come out of the sleep lastly. Go and execute second command
  now.

powercfg /lastwake

• 
  This will bring up the details of the device that made your PC to come out of the sleep lastly. Now go to the particular device properties and make changes accordingly to preventing that particular device to wake your PC from sleep.
