Windows 10: Issues with State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition Running/Installing/Updating Error: 0x80073D24

Problem: Trying to update State of Decay 2 - Juggernaut Edition

Error: Code: 0x80073D24


Since this error wasn't resolved on the previous thread, I figured I'd bring this up since they locked the previous thread. I will state that this issue has persisted with this particular game over multiple installs of windows.


So, not too long ago I installed SOD2JE for short and it used to run fine. Recently within a week or so of the last time I played it it will no longer run. The MS Store says there is an update but it errors out the above error when trying to update. To save some pointless troubleshooting steps I will state some obvious things.


• I have 190 GB free on this drive it's installed on.

• Windows is up to date current build and no available updates

• This is an identical issue I had on my previous install of windows

• OS is Windows 10 x64

• In the past, removing the game will not work and it will not let me install it back if I forcibly remove it via Powershell.

• Reseting the app in the Settings app does nothing.


I do play a lot of games, some are on the windows 10 store and most are on steam my preferred platform to purchase on. I'm saddened that games are using exclusivity so it won't show up in other launchers for awhile. While I know a windows reset will fix it this would be the 4th iteration of the same problem popping back up each time. I shouldn't have to reset windows to run a game on my machine.


Since this error provides no context as to the issue any help anyone might have would be appreciative.

Can not start State Of Decay 2 Juggernaut





After uninstalling State of Decay 2 from my computer as instructed by the MS Store, I downloaded SOD 2 Juggernaut edition. It seems to install correctly

but when I try to run it I get this error message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am eager to play.

I am on the insider program currently using Build 19541.RS_prerelease.200102_1216

 

Code: 0x80070003 on State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition

I have to start that I absolutely hate microsoft store. It takes forever to download games. I waited 2 days for Gears of War 4 to download. Now it craps out with Code: 0x80070003 when I try to install State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition. I tried all the
fixes that I could find on the web related to Code: 0x80070003. I tried installing it 7 times with the same maddening result after so called "fixes". It's 2020 and $#it is as bad as it was years ago.

 

State of Decay 2 Juggernaut Edition wont launch - stateofdecay2-win64-shipping.exe error

So I recently updated State of Decay 2 to the Juggernaut Edition yesterday. I did all of the steps correctly from uninstalling to correctly downloading the right package (17.7ish GB if I recall correctly).

After it was successfully installed, I just can't seem to launch it. A pop up appears after a few dozen seconds of nothing happening. It says:

"C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Mutable\Microsoft.Dayton_2.384.8...\StateOfDecay2-Win64-Shipping.exe

The specified user does not have a valid profile."

I already reinstalled the game a few times making sure to follow the uninstallation instruction provided by the devs, reset and repaired the State of Decay App within the settings, did multiple resets of the Windows Store, did a cleanup of my registry by
using CCleaner and yet nothing works. I'm close to giving up on being able to continue playing the game but perhaps others may know the solution to my problem.
