    issues with usb c since updates KB5031323 and KB5031354


    I run 2 external monitors - one through hdmi working fine and the other through a usb c to hdmi dongle which was working perfectly until this latest update which was installed last night. My laptop no longer detects the other monitor. I have tried uninstalling the latest updates to no success. I am running an Asus Rog Strix G713 QE - Any help is appreciated.

    Issues with Windows 11 and KB5031354

    Hello!

    I have some issues with the update!

    I'm using a laptop Legion 5 15ARH7H, after installing the last "awesome" updates today Windows 11 Version 22H2, updates KB5031354 and KB5031323 I have 2 significant issues!

    First of all, my USB-C ports have stopped working, and when I'm using the connected display (DELL G2422HS) only (Win-P, shown on the 2nd screen), the screen backlight of the laptop is still turned on!

    How can I fix this? Help!

    Please try uninstalling the recent October KB5031354 update if it helps.

    Open Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates

    Find the recent October KB5031354 update in the list then click Uninstall

    Please check if this fixes the issue.

    Icon drop shadow after Windows Update

    Following two Windows 11 updates, I find that my desktop icons have a very unpleasant drop shadow. I would like to remove this as soon as possible, and would welcome suggestions.

    The updates that ran last night were KB5031323 and KB5031354.
