Windows 10: Issues with Visual C++ Redistributable - cannot uninstall, modify, reinstall

Relatively new PC, started seeing errors with Visual C++ redistributable when trying to run games from steam. In particular, the 2015-2022 files for both x64 and x86. I have tried using the troubleshooter on both packages to uninstall with no luck. When running the vc_redist,x86 or vc_redist.x64 packages, both start to run but fail after a bit with the error 0x80070652 - Another installation is already in progress.The following is the log file error:[3658:3304][2024-06-04T06:36:46]i001: Burn v3.10.4.4718, Windows v10.0 Build 22631: Service Pack 0, path: C:\Users\jband\AppData\Local\Temp\{88B

Visual C++ Redistributable won't install?

This issue might if the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package is not installed properly.

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) not installing

This error may occur when the Microsoft Visual C++ is not compatible with 10.
