Windows 10: Issues with Windows 10 install from disc

Here's a bit of a background. I built a gaming PC in 2011, have upgraded a few parts since then, no issues. Windows 7 Home 64 bit. It meets all requirements for Windows 10. I've since gifted this PC to my brother. About 3 years ago the PC stopped accepting Win 7 updates. He bought Windows 10 on a disc and proceeded to install the new software, but it continues to give error messages once it gets to about 80%., and then immediately "undoing changes made to this computer." We tried everything we could think of, including wiping the hard drive and starting fresh on a clean boot. It continues to

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

There very simple and i've already tried them. The problem that i face is that the software (this app) does not find any updates for me .
Many people across the world have this issues .So you need the proxy etc thing to get it to work.
