Windows 10: Issues with Windows 10

Hi there.

A few weeks ago, I had to reinstall Windows 10 on my NotionInk Cain 10 tablet due to some issues, but after installing, I am facing the following issues:


1. The touchscreen digitizer is not working.

2. Internal audio devices and cameras are not being detected. Only wireless options work

3. The battery is not detected.

4. Display brightness can't be changed, and Night Light does not seem to work.

5. The microSD slot is not working.

6. There is a constant GPU error in apps like PowerPoint.

7. OneDrive is not at all syncing. It is constantly showing "Processing 334 changes" but nothing is happening, even after changing each and every setting.


Factory resets are not helping. Luckily the USB ports work so atleast I can connect a USB mouse and type in via my phone through remote desktop.


Please not that the BIOS is able to detect every single piece of hardware, but Windows cannot, and if a fix requires an external keyboard and needs to have one, please let me know as its keyboard case has stopped working and my regular keyboard is already malfunctioning.


I tried finding the drivers for this tablet but I am unable to do so as NotionInk Design Labs has shut down its operations and it is not a well known company.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
