Windows 10: Issues with Windows Hello Login Facial Recognition during boot

Hi all, I have been experiencing the issue where during boot up, upon the login page, the camera would not connect and there will be a windows "couldn't turn camera on" BUT, it will work right after i clicked on the facial recognition button again aka try again. Thereafter, i will log into windows as per normal and my camera will function perfectly normally, until i shut down or restart the pc. This would mean that during first boot, windows is having issues connecting to my IR camera. I am using a custom built desktop with a Lenovo 500 FHD camera windows hello compatible and have been us

Windows Hello Facial Recognition Security Issue

I'm on Windows 11

Windows Hello Facial Recognition Work.

I use Windows Hello Facial Recognition for Windows Session Login AND Passkeys.

But there is a big security issue!

If i die, anybody/family can scan my face to unlock my Windows Session, and access to all my datas.

That i don't want!

What i want :

Windows Hello Facial Recognition to use Passkeys ONLY.

2 Solutions :

1) Desactivate Windows Hello Facial Recognition at Windows Session Login ONLY -> ( mean Force PIN )

2) Use some 2FA with Windows Hello Facial Recognition at Windows Session Login ONLY

How to make one of this two solutions to work?

We need to do further investigation on your concern so that we will know why the facial recognition quit working:

• Have you recently made any changes/updates prior to this issue?
• Is there an error message when you try to sign using facial recognition?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

In the meantime, I would suggest that you perform the troubleshooting steps in this

trying to turn off the Facial Recognition feature for Windows Hello or for the
Windows 10 Camera app?

If you are requesting to turn off the Facial Recognition feature for Windows Hello, you can follow these steps:

• Click Sign-in options.
• Under Picture password, click Remove.
