  1. IT administrator limit access to controlled access folder, Windows 10

I have always had access to this folder but now I am getting the message that the IT administrator has limited access to it. But this is a personal, private PC and there is no IT administrator, just me.

I went through the steps discussed here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/page-not-available-it-administrator-limited-access/86a05037-ced2-413e-a6de-7ba15a5b032d

The DWORD value was 3 so I skipped this step.

I downloaded gpedit.msc. Under Windows Components, there is no Windows Defender Security Center. But under Windows Security, I found Virus and Threat Protection. It is currently set as Not Configured. When I double click it there is no setting for Not Enabled. There is only Enabled, Disabled, and Not Configured.

What should I do? I don't even know if this will fix my original issue.

Thank you for any advice you can off to this computer novice. Please let me know if you need any other information.

    :)

    Controlled Folder Access

    Hi.

I've been using Controlled Folder Access recently but I'm having a problem getting one application to change/create files. I use doPDF8 to create PDF files, but when CFA is active, it won't save my work. The notice explaining that something has tried accessing the folder only comes up once. (I assume that if you don't do anything about it, the program trying to access the file is put on the 'black list'.) Turning CFA off and then on again causes the notice to appear once more. However, the notice seems to suggest that it is C:\Windows\splwow64.exe that is trying to access/create the file, but when I put this into the 'allow app control' list, it still doesn't work. The only way I can find to get the PDF file created is to turn off CFA, create the file and then turn it back on again.

    Any ideas?

    Matt

I can't use any security function with window defender ( ex. scan folder with window defender, scan drive )

and now I want to use the function " controlled folder access " but show Page not available IT Administrator limited access same.

I use private network and my notebook. There is no admin at all. Why IT Administrator limited access me ?

And my window notification to encryption drive. Is this related?
